Using CoolSculpting to Freeze Stubborn Belly Fat

Coolsculpting

While it is true that most individuals can get rid of belly fat by leading a healthy lifestyle, there are some who have pockets of fat on their abdomen that do not go away no matter what they do. They eat a strict diet, they exercise often, and they use specific types of exercise to target their abdomen. However, no matter how hard they try, the body fat will not disappear. They may even be at a healthy weight, yet they still are dealing with belly fat.

Many individuals who are in the situation described above have turned to CoolSculpting® to help them get a more attractive figure and get rid of unwanted belly fat. This is a procedure that is used to freeze stubborn fat. After the treatment has been done, the fat that has been destroyed, thanks to the treatment, is slowly eliminated through the body.

You may be wondering what the CoolSculpting® procedure is like. You may be very surprised to know how comfortable it is. During the actual treatment session, you will come into our office and we will help you get in a comfortable position. A device will be placed on the area where you would like to have body fat eliminated. This is extremely effective at getting rid of stubborn belly fat. It can also be used on the thighs, buttocks, hips, arms, and other places in order to get rid of stubborn pockets of fat that resist exercise and diet.

While you are here, you will just relax. We encourage our clients to take a nap, read a book, or use their cell phone or tablet in order to play a game. You literally do not need to do anything, and you will slowly be able to get rid of stubborn fat on your body.

You may be wondering if you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting®. The best way for you to find out if you qualify is to schedule a consultation. We will explain more in depth how this procedure works and what it can do for you. Also, we’re going to ask you questions about your health in order to be sure that you are a good candidate for the procedure. The great thing about CoolSculpting® is that it targets fat in a specific area, but you do not have to worry about your skin, tissue, or organs being damaged.

Excess Arm Skin Bringing You Down? Consider an Upper Arm Lift

Arm Lift

Excess skin on your arms can make you feel self-conscious about your appearance. An upper arm lift can reduce excess skin and restore your confidence. It’s a cosmetic procedure and can be beneficial for men and women.

The issue of sagging skin on the arms is commonly caused by significant weight loss because stretched skin doesn’t retract very well after you’ve lost weight. However, sagging skin can also be caused by genetics and aging.

What is an Upper Arm Lift?

The procedure is performed while you’re under general anesthesia, and procedure time can vary. If saggy skin on your upper arms has made you self-conscious about your appearance, then you can benefit from this procedure.

During the procedure, excess skin is trimmed away from your arms, and deposits of stubborn fat are removed. Once excess skin has been removed, the remaining skin will be tightened and connected.

When the procedure is finished, your arms will look great with the rest of your body, and you may benefit from increased confidence.

The main purpose of this procedure is to reshape your upper arm, and it’s effective for removing fat and tightening loose skin. To achieve optimal results, there is a good chance that liposuction will be used during the procedure.

Should You Consider an Upper Arm Lift?

If you’re at a healthy weight but have excessive underarm laxity, then you can benefit from an upper arm lift. You might also be a great candidate if you’ve lost a lot of weight and need a way to eliminate excess skin on your upper arms.

What Are the Benefits of This Procedure?

A major benefit of undergoing this procedure is the ability to look better in form-fitting clothes. An upper arm lift can make you feel better about your appearance, which could significantly boost your confidence.

If you have excess arm skin, then you might currently be avoiding wearing sleeveless clothing. Since this procedure eliminates excess skin on the upper arms, it can give you the confidence to start wearing sleeveless clothing.

How Is an Upper Arm Lift Performed?

Before the arm lift commences, you’ll be given general anesthesia or IV sedation. The details of the procedure may vary. We would be happy to speak with you regarding how we will tailor your procedure.

Breast Reconstruction After a Mastectomy

breast reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is a surgical procedure done to rebuild a woman’s breast after she has had it removed. In most cases, the surgeon rebuilds and reshapes the breast so it will match the remaining breast. Breast reconstruction is performed by a plastic surgeon.

Types of Mastectomy

A mastectomy is a surgical procedure in which the patient’s breast is surgically removed. There are several different types, and different techniques may be used. Depending on the amount of tissue removed during the mastectomy, the patient may or may not need to undergo breast reconstruction surgery.

When Does Someone Undergo Breast Reconstruction?

Women have a number of choices to make about breast reconstruction. For example, breast reconstruction may be immediate or delayed. In immediate reconstruction, the patient has her breast rebuilt right after having the natural breast removed. In such cases, the surgeon will make a point of preserving the skin that had covered the breast to ensure a natural-looking result.

In delayed reconstruction, the patient waits until after she has finished her cancer treatment before undergoing breast reconstruction surgery. Some women choose to wait years. Women choose delayed breast reconstruction if they are undergoing radiation treatments and/or have other health problems. It all depends on the unique situation.

What Does the Procedure Involve?

The details of each surgery vary from patient to patient, since each individual and situation is unique. With that being said, there are two major types of breast reconstruction procedures: implants and tissue flaps. In an implant procedure, the surgeon installs an implant filled with saline or elastic silicone gel into the woman’s chest. Implant procedures may be immediate or delayed.

In a tissue flap procedure, the surgeon takes tissue from the patient’s body and reshapes it into a new breast. There are several different types of procedures. In most cases, the surgeon will collect the tissue from the abdomen or back, but it may also be taken from the thighs or buttocks, depending on the situation.

Tissue flap procedures involve multiple steps. During the first, the surgeon collects the tissue from the donor site; during the second, they reconstruct the breast. Tissue flap procedures can produce very natural-looking results.

Smooth Out Frown Lines with BOTOX

BOTOX®

At one time, people who wanted to eliminate facial wrinkling, creasing and other visual evidence of the aging process were faced with a very limited array of treatment options. Given that there were few viable alternatives, it was often necessary to commit to invasive and fairly high-risk procedures. Many modern treatments for these same issues, however, do not entail any tissue removal, incisions, potential scarring or downtime. Among the most popular of these is the use of BOTOX® for reducing dynamic wrinkles around the mouth and eyes and on the forehead.

Temporary Results

One of the biggest drawbacks among invasive anti-aging procedures is the risk of obtaining permanent or semi-permanent results that you aren’t happy with. Rather than altering the actual facial structure, BOTOX® temporarily relaxes the nerves that control the muscles responsible for facial expression. This causes these same muscles to achieve and maintain a relaxed state, which in turn smooths out the surface skin. The results typically last four to six months, but if you like what you see, these treatments can be safely repeated several times per year in order to maintain a smooth and line-free visage.

How BOTOX® Treatments are Performed

BOTOX® involves only minimal discomfort. During the procedure, the medical professional simply injects the solution into the desired areas. Once your injections are complete, you will be free to go and can immediately resume your normal activities.

While the full range of the results will not be apparent right away, you may notice a marked decrease in facial wrinkling during the first one or two days after your procedure. Additional changes can be expected to manifest over the course of the next week.

How to Know if BOTOX® is Right for You

BOTOX® can be used for the treatment of dynamic wrinkles across the visage. These are commonly caused by the ongoing use of the muscles responsible for facial expressions and are generally present across the brow, around the mouth and around the eyes. Deeper facial creases that are the result of significant volume loss cannot be effectively treated with BOTOX®. Cosmetic issues such as these are generally best resolved with other types of injectables. When both dynamic wrinkles and deep facial creasing exist together, it may be best to receive a combination of both BOTOX® and a filler for optimal cosmetic benefits.

To find out more about if BOTOX® is right for you, schedule an appointment at Tarola Plastic Surgery in Murfreesboro, TN or Hendersonville, TN. Our friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. Contact us today to book your consultation.

Reasons to Consider Chin Surgery

chin surgery

Most people don’t give their chin a second thought. It is what it is. It’s a feature that you were born with and you might not even think there is anything you can do about it. However, it can be a different story when you are not happy with your chin. If you feel like your chin is disappearing or it isn’t in proportion with your face, chin surgery could help you to finally see what you want in your reflection. When you place yourself in the talented hands of our plastic surgeon, you can see what wonders are possible through chin surgery.

How Does It Work?

Chin implants are the most common form of chin surgery that is performed. Our plastic surgeon will insert an implant in your chin to help you have a more pronounced chin that gives your face more definition. If an implant isn’t used, our surgeon can simply reshape the bone in order to achieve the desired look. You won’t believe what a difference this procedure can make.

Why Opt for Chin Surgery?

When you choose this surgery, you are making the decision to enhance a feature that isn’t making you happy. You should feel good about yourself. Chin surgery can help you to finally have the image that you have always wanted. When your chin is sculpted in a way that is pleasing to you, it can give you confidence in social situations and at work. Think of your chin surgery as a present to yourself.

It’s an Outpatient Procedure

You won’t even have to give up that much of your time when you choose to have chin surgery. Our plastic surgeon will use intravenous sedation or general anesthesia to perform your outpatient procedure. After a brief recovery period, you will be able to go home. Be sure to follow instructions when it comes to caring for yourself after surgery.

Take the Opportunity to See a New Face in the Mirror

It’s time to take charge. Nature may not have given you the chin you wanted, but chin surgery can change your entire perspective. You won’t believe how powerful it can be to make an adjustment to your chin. If you have been avoiding the camera or you simply aren’t happy with your appearance, you should seriously think about this surgery.

Talk to Our Doctor During a Consultation

You’ve accepted the way things are long enough. Talk to Dr. Tarola at Tarola Plastic Surgery to learn more about chin surgery. Express why you aren’t happy with your chin and what you hope to get out of cosmetic surgery. Our doctor can give you the opportunity to look at a gallery of photos to see what chin surgery has done for other patients. Ask about the procedure and know what will happen once your surgery is over.

Chin surgery at Tarola Plastic Surgery can give you permanent results, changing your face in a way that is more pleasing to you. Once you’ve accomplished this, you can further enhance your look with our other convenient services, such as BOTOX® injections. We have offices in Murfreesboro and Hendersonville.
