What Could I Expect from the Treatment Process?
Laser hair removal treatments are performed on an outpatient basis in the comfort of our Tennessee offices. During these sessions, a device is used to deliver laser energy to the treatment area. The energy of the laser targets the hair follicle, damaging it. Once the hair follicle is damaged, it cannot function as well as it once did. This prevents hair from growing as quickly or fully as it once did.
These laser treatments are often short, but the length of treatment will vary based on the size of the treatment area. More than one area may be addressed during a treatment session, but it is important to shave the area prior to your treatment. There is minimal discomfort associated with the treatment process, but you may experience a mild warmth. While there is no downtime associated with a session, there may be some redness in the area.
It is important to remember that laser hair removal may not permanently remove hair. While results will vary for each person and area treated, this treatment often provides initial results after the first treatment. Hair should grow back more slowing, but a series of treatments may be recommended for the best results.
